When I create my artwork I don’t draw or sketch, I just go where my head takes me and using clay I can make something that reminds me of my childhood and tells a story of who I am. For example, I am from South Sudan and in South Sudan we have many different tribes - we have Dinka, Nuer, Shilluk, Juba and Nuba - and the way we know each other is by identifying tribal marks.

That is why I create - for the younger generation, to recognise who they are and where they come from.

And, share the beautiful culture with other cultures.’
